In the beginning…there were plans!

I’d like to write more, but I’ve little of the following:

There’s so little time. But if there was enough time, or, if I could bring time to a standstill, these would be the 20mm -1/72 scale wargaming projects I would work on. (takes a deep breath)…

In no specific order: Superhero/Zombie Apocalypse/WWI-Weird War I-American War I/Early WWII-Dunkirk-Operation Sea Lion/Star Trek-Away Mission/Cold War Hot-Many, Many Modern Scenarios/It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Da Vinci Wars/Dr. Who-ish Dalek Stuff/Dungeon Crawl/Freikorps-RCW/French-Indian/Ghost Busters-Scooby Doo-Lovecraftian Mystery Hijinks/Gladiator-Chariots Racing/Giant Monster Bash/Korean Conflict/’Nam/Of Gods and Mortals/A Fist Full of Kung Fu/Pancho Villa-Mexican Adventure/Pig Wars/Road Warrior/Russo-Finn/Sci-Fi-Near Future-Victorian Sci-Fi/Spanish Civil War/Skate or Die!/Tusk/and last but not least; The Wild Western Shoot Out.

Am I mad? …Perhaps. Still, over the years I’ve been amassing my resources: books, rules, models, plastic and diecast vehicles, terrain, and of course, what would this hobby be without figures.

Here, on this blog, I’d like to share my foolish, foolish adventure. When precious time allows, I’ll post some photos of my progress…maybe a word or two. Will I have time to finish much of anything? Who knows. I’m just really happy to be on the journey – to hell with the destination!

  1. Good luck with your ambitious plans!

I, too, have a busy busy life, and the only way I’m able to make appreciable progress on my projects is to get up at 5 AM to do my painting, model building, and terrain making before going to work. That only gives me an hour to an hour-and-a-half of miniatures hobby time per day, but it adds up quickly, if one is persistent about it.

  2. I’ve gamed a few of the historical periods you mentioned a long time ago (early ww2, rcw for definate) and they can be a lot of fun! I’m also a member of the early am-late pm modelling population, its the way to go!
